Having spent years in the earphone business, we’ve learned a hard truth: between a concept with exceptional design and a production-ready product stands a wall of trade-offs—sacrifices made for higher efficiency and yield rate. By the time customers get their hands on the final product, what they see is often a bland, mediocre device that lacks both beauty and basic user experience.

 

YOBYBO wasn’t meant to be this way. Our goal is to create a design that stays true to our vision from the very beginning. Rather than simplifying the process to fit industry norms, we choose to preserve the integrity of our original creative design—no matter how much more difficult it makes production. The product we build is a reflection of our vision. The higher our standards, the more procedures we must go through. We have implemented more rigorous product inspections to ensure reliable manufacturing, guaranteeing that our products meet global quality standards. If we ever have to choose between cost and quality, we will always choose the latter.

 

We are the creators of the world’s thinnest TWS earphones—CARD20, which won the Red Dot and iF Design Award in 2020. Our open-window design NOTE20 also received the Red Dot Design Award. Additionally, the X-BOAT won the iF and Good Design Award in 2022. We reviewed the entire production process for these two products—from concept and engineering to development and final manufacturing. Every problem was placed under the microscope to drive improvements for our next-generation product.
